MEMORANDUM OPINION

BULLOCK, District Judge.

This case is before the court for a final ruling as to the existence of federal question jurisdiction. The central issue is whether the Carolinas Section Professional Golf Association Retirement Plan (the “Plan”) is an “employee benefit plan” as defined by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”), 29 U.S.C. § 1002(3).
