Defendant Benjamin Barlin appeals from a judgment after verdict in favor of the plaintiff in an- action for damages arising out of a malicious attachment in a prior action and defendant Royal Indemnity Company appeals from a judgment after verdict in favor of plaintiff in an action on an attachment bond issued by it in said prior action. The judgment upon the verdict against defendant Benjamin Barlin was for $5,102.70 compensatory damages and $17,000 punitive damages, however, on motion for a new trial, plaintiff agreed to a remission of.$7,000 of the punitive damages.…
