JAMES, Chief Justice.

This is an action for damages to cattle shipped from Wills Point, Texas, to Boff, I. T. The line of the Texas & Pacific Bailway Company carried the cattle to Sherman, and from there to Boff the connecting carrier was the St. Louis & San Francisco Bailway Company. Both railway companies were sued, and the judgment rendered was against both companies for $1000, with judgment in favor of the Texas & Pacific Bailway Company over against the other. Both defendants have appealed.
