Appellees commenced four separate actions against appellant in the District Court of the United States for the District of Columbia for damages alleged to have resulted from an automobile collision which occurred in the District. Service of process was obtained upon the director of vehicles and traffic in the District of Columbia and upon appellant in the state of Florida, pursuant to the provisions of the Financial Responsibility Act of the District of Columbia.
