This action arises out of a dispute between a hospital and a county concerning the alleged “dependency” of a person treated by the hospital pursuant to Chapter 49, Stats.

Plaintiff Trinity Memorial Hospital of Cudahy, Inc., rendered emergency medical care and hospitalization to Christine DeGroot from May 14 to May 20,1977. Ms. De-Groot was admitted to the emergency room by Dr. James Barton, who diagnosed her affliction as viral bracheal plexitis with possible meningitis.
