This appeal challenges an order dismissing a diversity action for lack of subject matter jurisdiction. Holley Equipment Company (hereinafter Holley) brought suit against Credit Alliance Corporation (hereinafter Credit Alliance) seeking compensatory and exemplary damages for breach of contract and fraud. The District Court for the Northern District of Alabama dismissed the action finding the amount in controversy inadequate to confer jurisdiction under 28 U.S.C. § 1332 (1982).
