OPINION

SHERRY RADACK, Chief Justice.

A jury convicted appellant, Carlos Wilfredo Melgar, of kidnaping and assessed punishment at nine years’ confinement, probated for nine and one-half years, and a $9,000 fine. In three points of error, appellant contends that (1) the trial court erred by excluding the testimony of five character witnesses, who were business associates of appellant, that appellant is an honest, truthful, and non-violent person, (2) the evidence is factually insufficient, and (8) appellant received ineffective assistance of counsel at trial. We reverse and remand.
