These cases arise from an accident occurring February 27,1948, on a public street in the city of Detroit. It is conceded that defendant Haak was the owner of a taxicab which was being used by the other defendant, with the knowledge and consent of the owner and in his business. Claiming that she had sustained personal injuries because of negligence on the part of the driver of the vehicle, plaintiff Edith Hall instituted an action in the circuit Court of Wayne county to recover damages. Her husband, William Hall, also sued to recover for medical expenses and for loss of his wife’s services.…
