| ¶ This is an action for cancellation of oil and gas leases and for quiet title by appel-lee, Chesapeake Exploration, LLC (Chesapeake), against appellants L & L Energy Company and Lindell and Letha Sharp, individually (collectively “Sharp”). In Chesapeake’s original petition filed November 26, 2007, several other persons and entities were also originally named as defendants, but were subsequently dismissed from the lawsuit and play no part in this appeal.
