Following a bench trial, the defendant, Walda Daveon Cardenas, was convicted of the unlawful possession with the intent to deliver more than 500 grams of cannabis (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1991, ch. 56½, par. 705(e)). The defendant was sentenced to a term of three years’ imprisonment in the Department of Corrections.
