OPINION OF THE COURT

SNYDER, Senior Judge:

Tried by a military judge sitting as a general court-martial, appellant was convicted, consistent with his pleas, of sodomy, taking indecent liberties, and committing indecent acts, all with a female child under 16 years of age. Articles 125 and 134, UCMJ, 10 U.S.C. §§ 925 and 934. The military judge sentenced him to a dishonorable discharge, confinement for 8 years, reduction to the grade of E-l, and forfeiture of all pay and allowances. Pursuant to a pretrial plea agreement, the convening authority reduced the confinement to 7 years but otherwise…
