OPINION OF THE COURT

KAPLAN, Judge:

A military judge sitting as a general court-martial convicted the appellant, pursuant to mixed pleas,1 of attempted use and distribution of amphetamines, conspiracy to distribute lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and “ecstasy,”2 violation of a lawful general regulation by wrongfully possessing drug abuse paraphernalia, possession and use of marijuana, use of “ecstasy,” distribution of “ecstasy,” and distribution of LSD (four specifications), in violation of Articles 80, 81, 92, and 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 880, 881, 892, and 912a…
