OPINION OF THE COURT

McKEE, Circuit Judge:

Henry Gibbs appeals the district court’s dismissal of his pro se civil rights complaint. The district court denied Gibbs’ request for in forma pauperis status and dismissed the complaint pursuant to the “three strikes” provision of 28 U.S.C. § 1915(g). For the reasons that follow, we will reverse and remand to the district court for a determina tion of whether Gibbs was in “imminent danger” at the time of the alleged incidents.
