DAVIS, Judge:

T1 Defendant Michael Paul Pierson was convicted by a jury of murder, a first degree felony, in violation of Utah Code Ann. § 76-5-203 (1999); aggravated burglary, a first degree felony, in violation of Utah Code Ann. § 76-6-203 (1999); and aggravated kidnap-ing, a first degree felony, in violation of Utah Code Ann. § 76-5-302 (1999).
