This appeal arises from the district court’s grant of summary judgment to Sierra Health, and Life Insurance Company, Inc. (Sierra Health), a California corporation authorized to underwrite insurance in Nevada, which had denied death benefits to the named beneficiary, appellant Lyndale D. McDaniel. McDaniel was listed as the beneficiary of an accidental death benefit policy that David B. Dawson, a resident of Nevada, held with Sierra Health.
