The manner in which the examination of a witness shall be conducted is largely addressed to the-discretion of the court, and in this case, the fact that upon cross-examination the defendant Blake, without specific interrogatories, was asked to relate all matters relating to the transaction under ex*243amination from its inception, and that he was permitted under that general method of examination to state all that he knew about the case, no improper evidence having been elicited, was not an abuse of that discretion.
