July 19, 1943, King county leased certain real property from the'-Sutters. At that time, the parties entered into a written agreement entitled “Lease and Agreement for Sale of Gravel.” The lease provided for the construction of bunkers and sheds and the installation of necessary equipment for the operation of a gravel pit. King county went into possession on or about July 19, 1943, and continued in possession until October 30,1949, although the lease, by its terms, expired July 19, 1948.
