This is a multi-defendant, multi-count public corruption case arising out of the activities of the former Connecticut State Treasurer, Paul J. Silvester. Pending before the court are severance motions of all five defendants, Triumph Capital Group, Inc. [“Triumph”], Frederick W. McCarthy [“McCarthy”], Charles B. Spadoni [“Spadoni”], Lisa A. Thiesfield [“Thiesfield”], and Ben F. Andrews [“Andrews”].
