Defendant, Nationwide Insurance Company Inc., issued an insurance policy to plaintiff under the terms of which defendant was obligated to provide no-fault insurance benefits to plaintiff in accordance with provisions of the Pennsylvania No-fault Motor Vehicle Insurance Act, 40 P.S. §§1009.101, et seq. (repealed 1984). On December 17, 1979, plaintiff received bodily injuries in an automobile accident.
