The question to be determined is the liability of successive employers for the undisputed amount of an award of compensation based on death resulting from occupational disease. Two employers are involved. The commissioner held both liable. The Superior Court, on appeal, held that the last employer only was liable. The appeal turns on the construction of General Statutes, Cum. Sup. 1939, § 1330e. Its relevant portions are printed in the footnote.
