Plaintiff Brian Otero has sued the Cook County Sheriff for allegedly violating his Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment rights by detaining him for an unreasonable amount of time and in an unreasonable man*278ner after a jury acquitted him of all charges.1 Plaintiff now moves to certify a class pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure (“Rule”) 23.
