KING, Circuit Judge:
David Wadkins brought this case in the Western District of Virginia against Detective Robert Arnold of the Washington County, Virginia, Sheriffs Office, alleging he was improperly arrested under warrants obtained by Detective Arnold. Mr. Wadkins asserts that Detective Arnold’s actions violate his Fourth Amendment rights and also give rise to state-law claims for malicious prosecution and defamation.
