OPINION

CONNOR, Justice.

This is an appeal from the superior court decision denying the appellants’ motion to enter satisfaction of judgment.

James Rules was the operator of a truck' which collided with an automobile driven by Linda Sturn. Linda and Lawrence Sturn subsequently filed a claim for personal injuries against Rules and his employer, William Rutherford, the appellants. During the course of the litigation, the parties entered into settlement negotiations.
