I. INTRODUCTION

Plaintiff Mary Lou Wait commenced the instant action against the defendants in January 2001 in New York State court. Invoking diversity jurisdiction pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1332, defendants removed the action to federal court. Plaintiff asserts claims for: (1) violations of the New York State Human Rights Law, N.Y.
