The defendant was convicted by a jury of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (G. L. c. 94C, § 32A); distribution of heroin (G. L. c. 94C, § 32); distribution of heroin within 1,000 feet of a school (G. L. c. 94C, § 32J); and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a *628school (G.
