Appellant was arraigned before a general court-martial convened at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana, charged with taking indecent liberties with a female under the age of sixteen, in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 934, and attempted carnal knowledge of the same individual, in violation of Article 80, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 880. He pleaded not guilty to both charges. He was found not guilty of the indecent liberties charge but guilty of attempted carnal knowledge. He was sentenced to a bad-conduct…
