On November 5, 1997, following a bench trial, the family court of the first circuit found defendant-appellant Jimmie E. Lloyd guilty of Criminal Contempt of Court, in violation of Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS) 710-1077(l)(g) (1993), 1 for violating a temporary restraining order (TRO). On appeal, Lloyd argues that his conviction should be reversed because the trial court failed to fully set forth in the judgment the particular circumstances of his offense.
