This was an action brought by plaintiff to recover compensation, at the rate allowed by its charter, for running defendants’ logs through its booms above the Falls of St. Anthony, in the years 1881 and 1882. The questions in the case arise on a counterclaim set up by defendants. The charter makes it the duty of plaintiff, on a specified notice, to turn loose all logs in its booms destined below the falls.
