T1 In March 2008, a jury convicted Andrew Wayne Mumford of possession of one gram or less of cocaine, in violation of section 18-18-405(1), C.R.S. (2007). The trial court sentenced Mumford to two years of supervised probation. On appeal, Mumford challenged his conviction on several grounds, arguing, among other things, that the trial court should have suppressed his statements to a law enforcement officer because they were obtained in violation of Miranda v.
