LUMBARD, Circuit Judge:

While the popular television program, “All In The Family” has often depicted controversy, the disputes it has featured generally have been amicably resolved within the time constraints of commercial broadcasting. The present controversy, however, extends through the life of the series and provides none of the comic relief for which the program has become well known.
