This is a suit in equity, brought January 11, 1881, in the Circuit Court of the United States for the District of Rhode Islknd, by William Coupe and Edwin A.'Burgess against Géorge Weatherhead, John. E. Thompson, and William G-. Evans, copartners as Weatherhead, Thompson & Co., for the alleged infringement of letters-patent of the United States No. 213,323, granted March 18, 1879, on an application filed January 24, 1879, to the said William Coupe for an improvement in hide-stretching machines.
