Appellant, the University and Community College System of Nevada (“the University”), appeals from a final judgment, pursuant to a jury verdict, awarding respondent Yvette Farmer, an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Nevada, Reno, $40,000.00 in damages for violations of the Equal Pay Act (“the EPA”), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, and for breach of an employment contract. The primary issues before us are whether the University was entitled to judgment as a matter of law and whether the district court erred by refusing to submit either…
