MEMORANDUM RULING AND ORDER
MELANQON, District Judge.
Before the Court is a Motion to Remand filed by the plaintiff, Bryan Dale Courts. For the reasons that follow, the motion is granted.
Background
This action arises from personal injuries the plaintiff allegedly sustained while unloading a vessel onto a fixed platform located on the Outer Continental Shelf. The plaintiff filed suit on May 6, 1996, in the 16th Judicial District Court for the Parish of St. Mary, Louisiana.
