BENCH DECISION 1 ON OBJECTIONS TO CONFIRMATION

In this contested matter in the chapter 11 cases of debtor Motors Liquidation Company, formerly known as General Motors Corp. (“Old GM”) and its affiliates (collectively, the “Debtors”), the Debtors seek confirmation of their chapter 11 plan (the “Plan”). While necessarily complex in aspects of its implementation, the Plan at bottom is a relatively simple, and classic, liquidating “Pot Plan.” Under it, the securities of what now is called General Motors LLC (“New GM”) that were brought in under Old GM’s July 2009…
