The Air Line Pilots Association (“ALPA”) brought suit against Delta Air Lines, Inc. in the district court — pursuant to the Railway Labor Act (“RLA”), 45 U.S. C. §§ 151-188 (1982) — seeking injunctive relief to compel arbitration before a System Board of Adjustment of disputes allegedly arising from a collective bargaining agreement between the parties.
