The State, pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 604(a)(1) (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1973, ch. 110A, par. 604(a)(1)), appeals from an order of the Circuit Court of Cook County quashing a search warrant and suppressing evidence seized.

The search warrant originally was issued to search the defendant, Alan Edwards, and the basement and first floor apartment at 10234 South Avenue L, Chicago, Illinois, for heroin and marijuana. The trial court granted defendant’s motion to quash the search warrant and suppress the evidence for the reason that the warrant failed to particularly describe the premises searched. The…
