MEMORANDUM DECISION
CHIN, District Judge.
In this products liability case, 51-year-old plaintiff Natalie Figueroa suffers from female stress urinary incontinence. Figueroa decided to undergo surgical implantation of a vaginal sling manufactured by defendant, Boston Scientific Corporation (“BSC”), called the ProteGen Collagen Impregnated Synthetic Sling (the “ProteGen sling”). Although the sling alleviated Figueroa’s symptoms, it was subsequently removed due to severe erosion of the surrounding vaginal wall.
