This is an original proceeding in this court brought by Manhattan Long Construction Company and its insurance carrier, hereinafter referred to as petitioners, to obtain a review of an award which was made by a trial commissioner of the State Industrial Commission in favor of Monta Breedlove, hereinafter referred to as respondent.

The essential facts are not in dispute. On March 13, 1942, respondent sustained a compensable injury as a result of a broken right ankle. The petitioners furnished immediate medical attention and paid compensation for the resulting temporary total disability until…
