This action was instituted in the district court of Tulsa county, Oklahoma, on the 22nd day of June, 1920, by the appellees, plaintiffs in the trial court, against the appellant, defendant in the trial court, on two causes of action. The first cause of action was to recover $300 on a bank cheek bearing date of June 14, 1920, which defendant had given the plaintiffs and caused same to be protested.
