Plaintiffs brought this action to specifically enforce an oral contract involving the sale of onion seed by defendants to plaintiffs or for damages for failure of defendants to perform.

Plaintiff Dessert Seed Company was doing business as such in Imperial County. Defendant company was operating a produce business in Los Angeles and did business in Imperial County and elsewhere. Defendants purchased a growing crop of onions on a 50-acre tract in Imperial County for $4,500 about April 23, 1942.
