A National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) arbitration panel found against the claimants in a dispute over investment advice and stock purchases. The claimants applied to the district court to vacate the award pursuant to the Minnesota Arbitration Act (MAA) and the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA). The district court dismissed the proceedings, finding that the claimants had failed to properly serve the application to vacate under Minnesota law.
