BARRETT, Commissioner.

Lawrence E. Robb instituted this action against Vonda Lou Wallace and Cecil Wright to recover $20,000 damages for personal injuries and $1,500 for injury to his automobile. Both defendants responded to the suit with answers in which they pleaded *234contributory negligence and Mrs. Wallace filed a counterclaim. At the close of the plaintiff Robb’s evidence the court directed verdicts in favor of both defendants on the ground that Robb was guilty of contributory negligence as a matter of law and a jury returned a verdict in favor of Mrs. Wallace on her counterclaim in the sum…
