Shane Lynn Hatfield, a juvenile, appeals from a disposition order finding him guilty of assault in the second degree. He contends that he was denied the effective assistance of counsel and that he had a right to a jury trial.

Hatfield was charged by information with one count of second degree assault in connection with a rock throwing incident which occurred on October 13, 1985. At a fact-finding hearing on February 27, 1986, Hatfield's attorney, Catherine Airola of the Public Defender Association, moved to withdraw because of a perceived conflict of interest.
