Defendants appeal from a supplemental judgment that awarded plaintiffs attorney fees and costs in their action to recover the balance of the purchase price of real property. We conclude that the trial court did not err in making that award and affirm.

The facts are largely undisputed. In 1997, plaintiffs sold their residence and acreage to defendants for $175,000. As consideration for $15,000 of the purchase price, defendants agreed to perform construction work of equivalent value on plaintiffs’ new property.
