LUTTIG, Circuit Judge:

Appellant, Sandra Theard, appeals from an order of the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina granting summary judgment in favor of appellee Glaxo, Incorporated, on Theard’s 42 U.S.C. § 1981 and state law claims. For the reasons that follow, we affirm.
