The defendant, Delano Dowling, appeals from a judgment of the District Court of the Virgin Islands in favor of the plaintiff, Lydia Williams, in an action brought by the plaintiff, the widowed mother of Averill Williams, to recover damages for the death of her minor son resulting from a mortal wound caused by a shot from defendant’s shotgun discharged by defendant’s minor half-brother, Richard Francis.
