In October 2014, Wren Thomas sued Chevron USA, Inc. (Chevron) and Edison Chouest Offshore, LLC (Edison) 1 in Texas state court. Chevron removed the suit to federal court and filed a motion to dismiss under Rule 12(b)(6). Thomas filed a response to Chevron’s motion to dismiss in which he argued that the court should remand the case, deny Chevron’s motion to dismiss, or, in the alternative, grant him leave to amend his complaint.
