MEMORANDUM OPINION

BIGGERS, District Judge.

This cause comes before this court on the defendants’ motion for summary judgment. The court has duly considered the parties’ memoranda and exhibits and is ready to rule.

INTRODUCTION

The plaintiff, an employee of the defendant hospital for eighteen years, was discharged as a result of a hospital-wide reduction in force in January of 1994.
