BUTZNER, Senior Circuit Judge:
Ernest Sutton Bell appeals the district court’s dismissal of his petition for habeas corpus. Bell challenges his convictions for rape and other sexual offenses on the ground that his appellate counsel failed to argue that the trial court, despite an objection, improperly closed the courtroom.
