MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

BUCKLO, District Judge.

Ondra Hodges petitions for writ of habeas corpus. For the following reasons, the petition is denied.

Background

Following a bench trial, Mr. Hodges was convicted of residential burglary and was sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment. The petitioner appealed his conviction. The Ilb-nois Appebate Court affirmed on August 26, 1993. Mr. Hodges did not appeal this affir-mance to the Ilbnois Supreme Court.

Subsequently, proceeding pro se, Mr. Hodges filed a post-conviction petition. The trial court dismissed. Mr. Hodges appealed the dismissal, but the…
